We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to delete your Twilingua account, what data is removed, and what (if anything) is retained.
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account directly from within the Twilingua app:
- Open the Twilingua app on your device
- Go to the Profile tab (bottom-right)
- Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Your account and associated data will be deleted immediately upon confirmation.
If you are unable to access the app, you can also request account deletion by emailing us at twilingua@phiture.com from the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.
Data That Is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your account profile (email address, display name, language preferences)
- Listening history and episode progress
- Saved vocabulary and word bank
- Comprehension scores and learning progress
- Streak and points data
- Topic and interest preferences
- Onboarding selections (native language, target language, proficiency level)
Data That May Be Retained
Certain data may be retained for a limited period after account deletion:
- Analytics data — Anonymized, aggregated usage data collected via Amplitude may persist, but it is not linked to your identity and cannot be used to re-identify you
- Crash reports — Anonymized crash and performance data collected via Sentry may be retained for up to 90 days for debugging purposes
- Legal obligations — If we are required by law to retain certain data (e.g., for tax or regulatory purposes), we will do so for the minimum period required, after which it will be deleted
